The Blue Mosque on Mt. Moriah. This is the holiest site for Muslims and Jews. It's a beautiful building! The dome is made of real gold and the building is covered in little mosaic tiles.

This picture didn't load for father's day so here it is! Love you daddy!

This is the separation wall. Pretty crazy. It could go right through a neighborhood and a father on one side wouldn't be able to ever see his son even if he was just a few feet away on the other side.

This is a lot of what the old city looks like. Tons of shops.

I'm on Mt. Nebo and this is were Moses looked out on Zion.

This is Macarius, where John the baptist was beheaded. Sorry for the vulgar picture. That's Josiah (not the OT king but his name is really Josiah).

Petra! This is the Treasury (as shown in Indiana Jones) with me on my first camel ride!

I hiked up to the monastery. Both this and the Treasury are tombs carved into the cliff. The outsides are beautiful! But the inside is just one big boring room.

I bought my blue necklace from these two little girls. They are so cute! I wish they could have been playing.

Got my kafia from this boy. He tied it on me and everything!

Monastery

This is the river where Jacob wrestled with the angel. Esau was coming to kill him and his family and Jacob separated Leah and their kids and Rachel and their kids hoping that at least half of his family would be saved. They were all ok!

Me in the River Jordan. This was amazing! I don't think I've ever been so hot but it was the neatest experience. When I got out, my legs were completely muddy. It's a dirty river. At least this side of it is.

The Arab/Israeli Costco! It's down the street from the JC and they have a ton of candy and such in bulk. This is Lauren and Jennifer.

Jess, Lauren, and I at Elait!

Sharla and I getting ready to snorkel. I LOVED being in the water! I was in it pretty much the whole time.

Gorgeous. This is the Red sea. On the other side is Jordan and it also borders Saudi Arabia (which we could see) and Egypt.

The water was so clear. This is where we snorkeled.

This is Herod's palace in Bethlehem.

Me inside the palace.

The girls at Herod's pleasure pool. He built a lade and put an island in the middle for entertaining.

Me at the spot where Jesus was born.

The Church of the Nativity.

The star would have appeared right here in the sky!

Shepherd's field

The Russian Church close by the JC. Aka "onion church" because of the onion shaped bulbs at the top.

This is Jimmy's. He carves statues out of olive wood. They're beautiful!

4th of July Celebration! This was probably the most fun I've had at the JC! we had a BBQ, carnival, and dance. I LOVE America!

I went to the garden tomb today:) It was blazing hot but it's a lot cooler in the garden.
